CineStory 2024 Feature Fellowship aka so this is [spec feature] love...

My absurdist comedy, TRIVIAL PURSUITS, along with my sparkling personality, has helped me become a 2024 CineStory Fellowship Feature Finalist, placing in the top 3.

TRIVIAL PURSUITS started as a love letter to my nerdy Quiz Bowl peeps but grew into so much more. It’s simultaneously absurdist and grounded with a ragtag group of underdogs taking on the world, and learning what winning really looks like in the process. I wish I could send it to my High School self and let her know there’s so much more to life than grades. In the end, I guess I learned this.

LOGLINE: Based on a true-ish story, a type-A nerd partners with a dopey jock, a mysterious artist, and a cynical delinquent to save their public school Trivia Bowl team from dissolution at the hands of their private academy rivals.

COMPS: Nerdier PITCH PERFECT aka tonally BOOKSMART.
